Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security both are Security products developed by Kaspersky. Both are used to secure the laptop and personal computers from the virus and trojan attacts or other intrusion attacts from the internet. Following are the differences between Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus

• Kaspersky Anti-Virus is refered as KAV (previously refered as AntiViral Toolkit Pro).
• Kaspersky Anti-Virus is an Anti Virus software developed by Kaspersky Lab.
• It supports Windows and Mac OS X Operating Systems and also Linux
• It is designed to protect from viruses, malware, spyware.
• It includes new features like real-time protection, trojans, worms, spyware, adware, detection and removal of viruses, keyloggers malicious tools and auto-dialers.
• It doesn’t have features like personal firewall, HIPS, AntiSpam, AntiBanner and parental control tools.
• Minimum hardware requirements for running Kaspersky Anti-Virus on Windows 7 OS 32-bit is Intel Pentium 1 GHz or higher (or equivalent), 1 GB Ram, 50 MB Hard Disk space.
• Maximum hardware requirements for running Kaspersky Anti-Virus on Windows 7 OS 64-bit is Intel Pentium 1 GHz or higher (or equivalent), 1 GB Ram, 50 MB Hard Disk space.

Kaspersky Internet Security

• Kaspersky Internet Security is refered as KIS (Kaspersky Internet Security).
• It is an Anti Virus + Firewall software developed by Kaspersky Internet Security.
• It supports Windows and Mac OS X Operating Systems and also Linux
• It is designed to protect notebook from viruses, malware, spyware, email scam, phishing attempts, data leak and evesdropping.
• It includes features like Anti-Virus, Personal firewall, Parental Control, E-mail filtering, Anti-phishing, etc.,
• Its first version was released in 2007 with version number 6.0 and the latest version is 2012 (12.0).
