  • Difference Between Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush

    Endorphin Rush vs Adrenaline Rush

Both Endorphin and Adrenaline are terms used in chemistry or biology. They look similar but are totally different. Today we will show the characteristics of Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush.

Difference between Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush

    Endorphin Rush

What do we mean by someone experiencing an Endorphin Rush ?

Hmm.. Endorphin rush is the one way of saying that we are feeling intense excitement and happiness i.e. being in an euphoric state.

    what are Endorphins ??

    Endorphins are neurotransmitters

    neurotransmitters ??

Neurotransmitters are the chemicals which allow the transmission of signals from one neuron to the next across synapses.so these Endorphins are the chemicals that are naturally produced by the body, and that carry signals between neurons.

They are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates during exercise, excitement, pain, spicy food consumption, love, and sexual activity,.

Endorphins are like opiates produce analgesia in that they block pain and are also responsible for an experience of well-being.

Most of our emotions are processed by the limbic system in the brain, which has many opioid receptors. When endorphins interact with the opioid receptors, pleasure and satisfaction are experienced.

Endorphin hormones require positive stress for reproduction.
Diet, exercise, and general well being control the production of endorphins, but stress and pain trigger their release.

Endorphins control emotions as well. The psychological model is “Glad, sad, and mad”, with fear as a sidebar. The average person is typically in glad mode. If stress downshifts them to sad or mad, endorphins are released for re-elevating them to glad. If fear strikes, endorphins similarly allow coping by providing a feeling of calm euphoria. Such a nice feeling, perhaps too nice of one. our brain (the primal portion) maintains a certain quota of endorphins to ensure survival under duress. If we don’t have that quota, we’ve got problems.

    Adrenaline Rush

There are a number of different symptoms we will probably experience if we undergo an adrenaline rush. Some of them are below

    No Feelings of Pain
    Heightened Senses
    Sudden Boost of Energy
    Increased Breathing

An adrenaline rush is an extremely intense feeling unlike endorphine rush feeling can be sadness, happiness or any other intense emotion.

Adrenaline is a natural hormone that is produced by the body and secreted throughout the body when we undergo some type of traumatic experience.
first example, if we are attacked by a dog or we get into a fist fight, we will notice an energetic feeling that gives we the power and strength to either escape or to attack. Because of this, an adrenaline rush can be intense and can be used in order to help we out.

then what gives us the adrenaline rush ??

bungee jump, high altitude, flying off a cliff, High tensed football match, diving into the open skies or bike stunts and what not, there is no limit to the amount of things that can give us the adrenaline rush. Watching a movie or reading a book can also spark adrenaline. For example, being drawn into an action filled scene or overwhelming excitement for a highly anticipated scene

unlimited Adrenaline Rush… Is it good for health ?

Typically, our body releases adrenaline only when we need it.

However, if we are suffering from an extreme adrenaline rush, it’s important that we try to calm our self down.

Monitor our breathing and look to take long, deep breaths to slow our heart rate and blood pressure down.

Sit down and try to focus on what’s happening as well. The trick is not to panic and to let the adrenaline rush wear off by relaxing.
Once the adrenaline rush subsides, we can resume our normal activities.

Hope you were able to know the Differences between Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush
