Core 2 Duo and Dual Core are processors developed by Intel. I have a Laptop with a Intel sticker on it. It says Core 2 Duo and a PC which says Dual Core. Lot of us know both are processors but, don’t know the exact Difference Between Core 2 Duo and Dual Core. Continue reading to know the difference between the both.
Core 2 Duo Processor
- Core 2 Duo contains 2 cores in a single silicon chip.
- Core 2 Duo is the second version of dual core processors.
- Each core can work independently of each other.
- All Core 2 Duo are Dual Core processors.
- Core 2 Duo is a subset of Dual Core.
Dual Core Processor
- Dual Core also contains 2 cores in a single silicon chip.
- Core 2 Duo is the first version of dual core processors.
- Each core can work independently of each other.
- Not all Dual Core processors are Core 2 Duo processors.
- Dual Core is a super set of Core 2 Duo.
