Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) vs Over the Counter (OTC) Derivatives
Derivatives are the most widely traded instruments in financial markets. Although a lot of trading is carried out on various exchanges throughout the world you may be surprised to know that most of the derivative trades are carried off-exchange i.e. Over the Counter (OTC). Though all the derivative trades on both exchange and off it are based on the same principal of deriving value from the underlying there are differences in the products, regulations, processing etc. The following write-up could be helpful in understanding a few of these differences.
What is the Difference between Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Over the Counter (OTC) Derivatives ?
Both Cash and Derivatives markets are components of a wider financial market. However that is where the similarity ends. They are poles apart when transactions in these markets are put into perspective. So let’s check out the difference between these markets.

Chemicals are basically minerals and study about Chemicals is called as Chemistry then What is Chemical Engineering? How Chemistry study is different from Chemical Engineering.
Below you will learn the Differences between Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Chemical Engineering deals with how a particular chemical is of use or value and how it can be produced on a large scale optimizing production costs. It involves design of production plants considering various factors like reaction time, reaction rates, side reactions, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics which involve a lot of innovation.
Consider an example of cooking rice.
Chemical engineering deals with size of rice cooker, the time required for cooking and water to rice ratio i.e how much reactants to put into reactors. Continue reading this post »
Python is a programming scripting language just like Perl. Recently, Python 3.0 version was released. This created a lot of buzz and people want to know more about the features and decide to whether stick to Stable Python 2.7 or move / upgrade to Python 3.0.
This post will discuss about the various Differences Between Python 2 and Python 3 and will help programmer to decide as to which one he/she should use it.
Computer Science (CS) vs Information Technology (IT)
Most of us will be under assumption that Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT) are same or similar Engineering course. But this is not the case. Below, I will explain you what are the subtle differences between the both CS and IT degrees.
An example which illustrates Difference Between computer scientists and IT professionals:
Consider a house, computer scientists are the ones who design and build the house and provide necessary facilities like electricity, plumbing etc.IT professionals are the ones who live in the house and utilize it for desired purpose.
Computer scientists focus on design and development of software, which make the computer work i.e., operating system of computers.
Computer scientists possess good programming and algorithmic skills and use them to manipulate data.
Computer scientists undergo courses on fundamentals of programming languages, algorithm design, discrete mathematics, theory of computation, software design and development.
Iterator and Generator in Python are type of enumerators in Python. Both are used to iterate from start to end of List data-structure. Below we will talk about the Differences between Python Iterators and Generators so that you will know which one to use when in python?.
In this post, you will learn the Difference Between 720p and 1080p.
HIGH DEFINITION (HD):
Screen resolution is measured in pixels.
Group of pixels form an image.
The clarity of an image is proportional to number of pixels i.e, pixel density
HD resolution refers to 1280X720 pixels effectively 2,073,600 pixels.
Full HD resolution means 1920X1080 pixels effectively 1,036,800 pixels.
As the number of pixels are more in FULL HD resolution ,images tend to be sharper and clear in Full HD compared to HD.
The below image explains the how pixels are divided
iOS 6 and iOS 7 are mobile operating system developed by Apple. iOS 6 was released on September 19, 2012. iOS 7 operating system is the successor of iOS6. It was launched on September 18th, 2013 along with iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Below we will talk about the Differences between iOS 6 and iOS 7 so that you will know the latest features and deprecated items in iOS 7.
@StaticMethod and @ClassMethod are type of methods or functions in Python. Both serves similar purpose but have differences between them.
@StaticMethod and @ClassMethod are functions decorators. The first difference which is noticable is the call signatures of both. Class Method has @classmethod signature and Static method has @staticmethod.
Both Endorphin and Adrenaline are terms used in chemistry or biology. They look similar but are totally different. Today we will show the characteristics of Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush.
Difference between Endorphin Rush and Adrenaline Rush
What do we mean by someone experiencing an Endorphin Rush ?
Hmm.. Endorphin rush is the one way of saying that we are feeling intense excitement and happiness i.e. being in an euphoric state.
what are Endorphins ??
Endorphins are neurotransmitters
Neurotransmitters are the chemicals which allow the transmission of signals from one neuron to the next across synapses.so these Endorphins are the chemicals that are naturally produced by the body, and that carry signals between neurons.
They are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates during exercise, excitement, pain, spicy food consumption, love, and sexual activity,.
Endorphins are like opiates produce analgesia in that they block pain and are also responsible for an experience of well-being.
Most of our emotions are processed by the limbic system in the brain, which has many opioid receptors. When endorphins interact with the opioid receptors, pleasure and satisfaction are experienced.
Endorphin hormones require positive stress for reproduction.
Diet, exercise, and general well being control the production of endorphins, but stress and pain trigger their release.
Endorphins control emotions as well. The psychological model is “Glad, sad, and mad”, with fear as a sidebar. The average person is typically in glad mode. If stress downshifts them to sad or mad, endorphins are released for re-elevating them to glad. If fear strikes, endorphins similarly allow coping by providing a feeling of calm euphoria. Such a nice feeling, perhaps too nice of one. our brain (the primal portion) maintains a certain quota of endorphins to ensure survival under duress. If we don’t have that quota, we’ve got problems.
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 both are Operating Systems developed by Microsoft. Windows 8.1 is the latest Operating System from Microsoft which has got lot of new features and make over of Windows 8.
Most of the Windows 8 users are upgrading to Windows 8.1. It is the buzz word going around on the web. Before users decide to Upgrade Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. I would like to list out the differences between Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. I hope after going through the below, you can make your decision i.e., whether to stick with Windows 8 or upgrade to Windows 8.1.
Most of the changes in Windows 8.1 compared to Windows 8 are particularly to the user interface due to the response to criticisms by the users of Windows 8.
Before illustrating you the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit microprocessor, Let me illustrate you the what actually this “8-bit” or “16-bit mean”. An 8-bit CPU and ALU architectures are those that are based on registers, address buses, or data buses of that size. 8-bit is also a term given to a generation of microcomputers in which 8-bit microprocessors were the norm and for 16-bit it is the vice-versa.
Lets know some interesting concept which leads us to know the difference between 8-bit ad 16-bit Microprocessor.
What is the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit Microprocessor ?
Before illustrating you the Difference Between Left Brain Vs Right Brain, Let me recall a small conversation that I read,
An Interviewer asked Einstein how did he develop these complex scientific theories. Then after 3 sec gap (Einstein reportedly pointing to his head) said that he used a pencil and a piece of paper to develop his ideas.)
This clearly demonstrates the perfect union of analytic and creativity in problem-solving.
Many famous scientific theories came out during Einstein’s working process, the theory of relativity is one of them.
Nothing could better illustrate the integration of left brain and right brain than business thinking: logic and reasoning coupled with imagination and creativity.
